Prof. Carel Le Roux to lead a clinical trial between Medfit and UCD
Medfit and University College Dublin intend to shortly start a new clinical trial with liraglutide 3.0mg for the treatment of complications associated with obesity such as prediabetes, sleep apnoea, hypertension and diabetes. Professor Le Roux will lead this trial and we hope to recruit up to 80 patients. Our aim is for patients to receive a combination of diet, exercise and medication to allow them to achieve 15% (approximately 2-3 stone) weight loss.
